You will need to train for this. Some therapies can be learned very quickly such as Reiki and Indian Head Massage. I trained in Indian Head Massage in one weekend and started making an immediate income with it. Others may take a few months, such as beauty therapy. Reflexology takes about a year (part-time) and so on. No doubt if you shop around you can find full-time courses that will be faster.

What are the benefits?

It's fulfilling because you are helping others.

It's sociable. Every client is different and you build up some great relationships over time.

You can be based totally at home which may suit you. You need a room that can be used for your treatments. If you don't have a spare room, can you divide up a room with screens to create the necessary space?

If you prefer to be out and about you can choose to be a mobile therapist. Or you can combine treatments in your home with some mobile treatments.

Downside.

If you injure yourself (eg repetitive strain injury which is quite common among therapists) you could lose your hard-earned business.

It's physically demanding and sometimes emotionally draining too.

If you love fitness this could be a great way to make money from home. You will need to get a qualification for this. You can then do trainings in an appropriate room in your home, or if you live in a warm climate perhaps you can set something suitable up outdoors.

It's rewarding as you help people improve themselves.

Downside. If you injure yourself or get sick, you cannot earn. Make sure you get good insurance that will cover you for this.
