First of all, you need to decide whether you want an easy, part time way to simply earn extra money online. Or whether you want to make enough money to live on, or to leave your day job.

Make money online at home on a part time basis.

Online surveys.

Earn extra money online doing surveys. This has to be the simplest way to start a online business, because there is almost nothing to learn and no technical skills required!

How do you make money doing online paid surveys? You join a survey company which will then email you relevant surveys to take part in.

You simply answer the questions which are usually multiple choice style. They will pay you a small amount for taking the time to do so. Companies need to get our opinions for their market research and this is the modern way for them to achieve this.It’s a very simple, quick and easy way to earn extra money online.

Writing blogs.

Earn extra money online with blogging. This is a free way to earn online. You simply register for an account with Blogger or WordPress and you can then write about any subject you know about, or you can research a subject and write about it.

You can make money from your blog by having adverts on your blog that you earn from, or by having links to products you sell yourself, or to other people’s products (this is known as affiliate marketing).

Typing Jobs

Earn extra money online doing typing jobs. Many companies these days use homeworkers – it’s more cost effective for them because they don’t have to provide you with office/desk space or equipment and they don’t have to pay you when you are on holiday or sick.

Selling on eBay.

Earn extra money online with eBay. The advantages of making money on eBay are that it’s free to create an eBay account, so you can have an online presence in front of millions of potential buyers in a matter of minutes.

You can sell stuff you make, things you already own, or items you find at car boot sales, flea markets, charity shops etc

Serious Online Incomes

Affiliate Marketing

Earn or make money online with affiliate marketing. This is a really interesting way to earn money online because you don’t need a website of your own and you don’t need a product of your own! What you do need to do is learn how to send lots of visitors to other people’s websites (I show you how), and you earn when they buy something from that website. Not all websites want affiliates to sell for them, but many do and I show you how to find them, and exactly how this works here: Make money internet affiliate program

Make money online at home.

Build a Website

Earn or make money online with your own website. Don’t panic, you don’t need to be a technical geek to do this – after all, I’ve done it many times now with no previous knowledge, so you can too.

This is a long-term project really, well 6-12 months anyway fitted around what you do now, but for me the upside is that the income is then a passive one, and keeps increasing year on year, long term, if you do it the way I do. And it’s fun, albeit hard work too.

If you want to start a online business which will give you a solid financial future this would be top of my list.

However, if you look at the web building package I recommend via the link above and then you shop around for cheaper options, be warned - I built websites with other companies that did almost ZERO income wise! The sites just sat in web space, getting very few visitors year after year!

Sell Your Own Product

Earn or make money online selling your own product. This ties in with affiliate marketing and building a website because all the traffic generating methods and skills you need for both of these can be used to sell your own product too, although you don’t have to build your own website.

You could have your own blog instead and feature your products there, and this is certainly much quicker and easier than building an entire website.

However in the long-term a website looks more professional and is more user friendly for selling physical products. Or you could sell your own products on an auction site like eBay.

Google Adsense

Earn or make money online using Google Adsense. This ties in with having your own website, or writing a blog, and is a really cool way to earn online.

You can make money from placing snippets of code on your website or blog that you get from Google Adsense. These bits of code show up as relevant adverts on your site – and you get paid every time someone clicks on an advert – regardless of whether a sale is then made. You may earn a few cents per click or 60 cents or several dollars (or whatever your currency is). The trick to making a lot of money is to drive huge amounts of visitors to your site or blog and my ‘website traffic’ section shows you how. There are other ways to earn online and to start a online business, but I like to focus on the best ones, and the ones I use myself, because I know they work.

You don’t have to choose just one if you want to make money online at home – start with one and build from there if you want multiple incomes streams. Also, you may not have the time to wait for an income, but you might like the idea of earning from your own website – so your first step to start a online business could be to sell on eBay or do surveys while you are building your website.

That way, you have some money coming in while you build an income for the long term.

Trust me, you can’t beat the feeling of logging on to the internet to see the great income you have made while you have been at the beach! Put in the time and effort now, and you’ll reap the rewards and lifestyle in the future. Beats working for someone else doesn’t it?
